“Many thanks to Scott and his team for the amazing cratch cover you made and fitted on my boat. We waited a long time for it due to covid but it was well worth the wait. Nothing was too much trouble, all our questions answered and a really nice guy to deal with. Thanks again”
Eliminate dirt by gently brushing or vacuuming the fabric.
Occasionally, use a solution of water (at a temperature of no more than 30º C) and neutral soap.
Apply to the fabric and then rinse off with abundant water.
Let the fabric dry completely.
Refrain from using solvents or abrasive detergents. The warranty covers any unusual wear and tear of the fabric and colour and its applicable as of the date of the awning installation.
Avoid mould and mildew by using Wet and Forget as per the manufactures instructions on the container.
Applying Fabsil Gold annually will also help maintain the UV protection and waterproof properties . Avoid contact with transparent window material.
Acrylic canvas from Sauleda SA protects from ultraviolet by dispersing, absorbing and reflecting the UV rays thus preventing them from penetrating the fabric.
The UV protection is progressively higher or lower depending on the intensity of the colours. In conjunction with AITEX and the Association of Tests for the Applied Protection of Ultraviolet Rays, Sauleda has conducted a study to investigate the behaviour of its designs when exposed to UV radiation in their original form. The designs subsequently undergo a number of treatments involving their more traditional uses and an ageing process.
The results of this study provide certain protection (UV) factors expressed as values ie: 40, 60, 80 - the higher the number, the greater the protection.
In compliance with ISO 4920, all of the Acrylic Canvases manufactured by Sauleda SA undergo the Spray Test control. The purpose of this test is to determine the fabrics resistance and endurance to superficial wetting. During this test the fabric is subjected to “Superficial Rain” after which, its effect on the canvas is determined. The result obtained is assessed on a scale ranging from 0 to 100.
The results of these tests on Acrylic Canvas by Sauleda SA have shown the fabrics to retain an excellent hydrophobicity and therefore they dry fast and the accumulation of dust is prevented.
All our Sauleda SA Acrylic Fabrics have been impregnated with TEFLON. This creates a barrier effect and reinforces the water repellency as well as delaying the adherence of soil.
Agents such as acid rain or bird's excrement or washing the fabric with detergents or abrasive products may damage the TEFLON finish.
